We picked a really cute stuffed animal up at a garage sale the other day. It’s an adorable dinosaur! Twenty-Five cents!
Eeesh.
I always look at the tags for a name. It keeps me from having to come up with ten million names for all of their critters… plus I don’t need to try to remember it… it’s permanently affixed to their backside!
I turned this one upside down to read it’s tag for my goof-ball son, Zach. The other stuffed animals were cute names that really fit the critters. I automatically upended it and read it out loud.
“Tooter.” I winced as I said it but it was too late.
“Tooter???” Zach was stunned.. and thrilled. I instantly knew what was in store and regretted not taking that second to read it to myself before announcing it to the van load.
Every since… Tooter has been a great source of amusement to the kids. Never have I heard such a wide variety of different types of gas emissions. Their imaginations have incorporated Tooter with quite the story lines.
WHO was the wise guy that decided to name this cute little dino TOOTER?????
Oh well.. at least it wasn’t named Burp… I have enough trouble with my gifted 5 year old daughter with this… she doesn’t need any encouragement!

Thanks for the smile, Shirley. I have Celina with me this week and even at 20 months she knows to look at me out the corner of her eye when she “toots” to see if anyone heard it. How do they know that they should be embarrassed by that?
Just a few minutes ago I could tell she was filling her diaper and she looked guilty. I asked her of she was stinky and she said “yeah”. When she finished she went and got me her baby wipes. Hmmm…can you say “potty chair soon?”
