Washed With His Word

Rough day today… yet I am at peace. Peace that passes all understanding.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.(Phillipians 4:6-8)

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5,6)

These are the verses God flooded my mind with today. The bolded words are the specific pieces I remembered… I looked up the rest and included them. What a blessing it is to me spoken to by God through His living Word. Nothing else… no arguments, excuses, encouragements, admonishments… nothing hits as deep as His Word… it pierces deep and heals at the same time.
