The kids have a new hobby. Collecting bugs for the turtles. Yum. I haven’t had the pleasure of observing. I’ll pass. I have however, noticed the resulting change in the behavior of the turtles. Whenever anyone walks near their cage they dive in the water and swim frantically near the top… watching for a hand to appear and drop a tasty bug morsel into their habitat. Again… yum.
Been thinking about this a lot. After all, the kids have been on a lot of bug hunts the last couple of days. And we’ve had lots of… experiences. Like the spider leg that walked around without the rest of the spider attached. Merry got quite the kick out of that. (sigh)
