Haven’t been blogging for a while! I am back. With news!!!
Guess what! We bought a house! It’s a fixer upper that we are going to fix and flip. Flip just means to sell right away.. hopefully in the Spring. We aren’t even going to bother moving into it. It needs a LOT of work. This way we will have some money to put toward a house for us!
The kids are doing ok… colds are going around, though. Braeden has a nasty cough and cries at the drop of a hat. Merry is CRANKY.
Zach had a funny Zachism yesterday. He said we needed to get an oak tree so we could have more “oakmeal.”
I have been inundated with books to review so expect lots more here. Most of them are authors I am unfamiliar with so that makes it fun!
Here is something fun!! Photo Friday
Zach was at a playground behind Matt’s parents house in Calgary. He was just being his normal goofy self and I snapped a picture. Funny guy. Leave a comment on Brandilyn’s site and you could win a book too!
Here are some great things I got for my kids… they LOVE them and are learning lots at the same time. I have one of each here but there are four of the Newton’s Workshop and I think nine of the Jonathan Park sets.

I had to give my first bad review today. I LOVE Ted Dekker’s Circle trilogy. I also love suspense, mystery, serial killers etc. However. I despised Boneman’s Daughters. In fact, I don’t know if I’ll ever read another one of Ted Dekker’s books. As I said… I absolutely love Dekker’s Circle Trilogy. Every since then I find less to like about his books. There was nothing redeeming or worthwhile about this book. It was just sick. If I wanted this kind of stuff in my head I could pick up mainstream books. I expected more from him. He takes you into the killers head and through the sick stuff he does. There is no spiritual lesson in here and I finished the book feeling sick inside and unsettled. (shuddering)
Anyway… on a lighter note. We have snow! About an inch. We skipped fall this year. My favorite season and it never happened. Sigh. Oh well… if it’s gonna be cold, there might as well be snow! I love the snow, just not the 40 below temps we get here. Brrr.

We had lots of snow up here in Parkland Region and heard that it’s very icy getting in and out of Winnipeg. Pray that you’re keeping safe onthe roads. Congrats on the house!
Exciting, Shirley! Hoping to hear more from ya soon. Praying!
I can’t wait to hear how the house flipping goes. Too much fun!
Congrats on the house! Just wanted to let you know I stopped by Sunny Glade today. It looks like we have a lot in common. Our three kids are the same ages and Jeremiah 33:3 is one of my favorite verses too! Also, I wanted to follow up on your giveaway suggestion to let you know I asked my pubisher to send you an extra copy of “Essie in Progress”. It should be on the way! -Marjorie
