Unbelievable. Why are they so blasted determined to steal the real joy in the Christmas story? If it was any other religion they wouldn’t be allowed to mess with it. But Christianity is fair game.
Christmas is about CHRIST!! Of course they feel left out if they don’t believe in HIM! So if they want to be part of it.. they can embrace HIM instead of changing the whole reason for Christmas.
Edwords said the purpose isn’t to argue that God doesn’t exist or change minds about a deity, although “we are trying to plant a seed of rational thought and critical thinking and questioning in people’s minds.”
The group defines humanism as “a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism, affirms our responsibility to lead ethical lives of value to self and humanity.”
Where exactly is this rational thought and critical thinking? I am missing it. Rationally.. GOD makes sense. Rationally, Christmas is a CHRISTIAN holiday… get over it already. If you hate Christ, ignore the day!
Last month, the British Humanist Association caused a ruckus announcing a similar campaign on London buses with the message: “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.”
If there is no God then there is MUCh to fear and life becomes empty and hopeless. What is there to enjoy in that? And.. probably??? Where is the safety in that word? And this just tops it off…
Yet few Americans describe themselves as atheist or agnostic; a Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life poll from earlier this year found 92 percent of Americans believe in God.
Why do we cater to 8% who feel “alone”? Start your own holiday! Leave ours alone. That being said.. my husband had a good reminder for me. These people are choosing an eternity in Hell by thumbing their noses at Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay the debt for our sin, rose from the grave to give us eternal life, and is preparing a new heaven and earth for those who choose Him to live throughout eternity. There is the truth and the whole reason for the Christmas celebration. God Himself became man… and was born in a stable. This is the whole purpose for the day of celebration. Join us or make your own holiday. Please… take the caution seriously. Your eternity is riding on your own personal decision. Even if Christmas is stolen from us one day… the Christ Himself NEVER can be taken from those who have chosen HIM! How is that for rational thought and critical thinking?

I know. This just infuriates me. I keep reminding myself that their eyes are blind to the Truth, but this is beyond being blind. It’s like being blind and being angry about it.

Hello, this is Debbie from Facebook and FWriters. Very good thoughts and comments on the humanistic push in our nation and beyond. It’s sad commentary that they are trying to take God out of our holiday season. But it so reminds me of the way society is moving these days… between the lack of reverance for the life of an unborn child or the attack on christians in the media. We are looked at as weak.. If they only knew we are strong by our beliefs and they could be too!! Sorry ya hit a sensitive area for me too!!
