About
Welcome to my haven. Sunny Glade is actually the meaning of my name… Shirley. Shirley means white meadow, bright meadow, or sunny glade.. depending on where you look it up!
A sunny glade is one of my favorite places! The words that come to mind are… beauty, peace, encouragement, and growth. These are all things that I am focusing on in this blog. So, come… grab a cup of tea or coffee, or a tall glass of ice cold lemonade, and curl up on the picnic blanket while you get to know me. You’ll find that I am a very open, honest, and kind person. I hope you’ll feel safe and warmed while you are here… and renewed and refreshed when you go. Come back often! I’ll be looking for you. Be sure to leave comments so I know you visited.
Other stuff about me:

I have three amazing kids!
Braeden is 8. He is my thinker and asks a million questions daily. I’m doing good if I can answer one of them!

Meredith (Merry) is 5. She is a feisty tomboy/princess who is trying to be a teenager already! She’s sweet as pie and tough as nails!
I was a professional equestrian (horse person) until I was married in 1999. I am an animal lover.. living in an apartment with two turtles. Make that a frustrated animal lover.
My dream is to have our own place out in the country with lots of acreage and farm animals. I would love to live off the land the way we did when I was a kid!
I’m an American transplanted into Canada. A farm girl dropped into a city. A mountain lover in the midst of flat plains. God has a sense of humor!
Writing is a passion of mine. I have several short stories soon to be published and a novel in the works!
I am a Christian struggling to grow and become more fruitful. Life isn’t easy but I choose to see it as an adventure. Hey… I get some great story ideas from it!
I LOVE Jeremiah 33:3 . God has brought me back to it so many times in my life… stretching me to believe it a little more each time.
Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.
