Struggling Reader

I recently posted a status update on Facebook that received so many comments that really blessed me. I have an 11 year old that really struggles with reading. I have recently revamped our homeschooling so that he can learn and have fun with it without being held back by his reading struggles. I ordered a bunch of Christian graphic novels and they had arrived that day and the kids were so excited. I had to force Braeden to put down the book, shut off the light, and go to bed that night. The next morning I woke up to the boys reading in their beds and chatting to each other about their stories. So awesome.

 

When I posted this I had several friends comment with ideas and ways to help him out. I know I’m not the only one with a child who gets bogged down and overwhelmed with reading so I thought I would share the suggestions with you! I hope it blesses and helps someone as much as it did me.
